Following the recent success and interest around Skinny Prosecco, Barry and Fitzwilliam has decided to introduce a new range of Villa Maria Lighter Wines to the Irish Market.

An increasing number of consumers are looking for drink options to suit their healthier lifestyles and this range now offers these lifestyle-conscious consumers exactly that – a lighter alternative in terms of alcohol and calories but made without compromising on taste.

The range consists of three varietals – a Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio and Rosé – each contains 25% less alcohol and 25% less calories than the same varietal in the standard Private Bin range.

The winemaking team at Villa Maria carefully select earlier ripening grapes and pick them before too much sugar develops giving wines that are naturally lower in alcohol and calories but still contain plenty of flavour.

Initially targeting the Irish off-trade with an RRP of €14.99 and promotional pricing of €11.00, the wines are currently available online through www.winesoftheworld.ie.
