Taste of Dublin 2016 launched

Foodies and socialites gathered recently in the new Farrier & Draper venue on South William Street, Dublin 2, to launch this year’s Taste of Dublin festival.

At the launch, MC for the evening comedian Marcus O’Laoire played host to a panel conversation with some of Ireland’s most loved chefs from home and abroad.

Taste’s Managing Director Avril Bannerton and her team welcomed the cream of the Irish culinary world to Dublin’s latest hotspot and the Open Gate Brewery debuted its exclusive Taste ‘Strawberry Porter’ brew specially-created for the festival while chef Stephen Gibson from the newly-revamped Pichet restaurant served up dishes alongside canapès from the team at Farrier and Draper.

Acclaimed musician Mundy played an impromptu set to top-off the gastronomic launch in style.

Taste of Dublin runs from Thursday June 16th to Sunday June 19th at the Iveagh Gardens. Visitors will be able to create their own personalised experience menu with a choice of over 12 restaurants each featuring three signature tasting plates and sample the best produce in the world from over 60 exhibitors.

Tips and insights will be shared from some of the most talented chefs at home and abroad across the four days.

Tickets from €15 are on sale now at http://www.tasteofdublin.ie.
