Selling out – Irish Whiskey Awards tickets

Nearly all of the 130 tickets for the Irish Whiskey Awards have now been sold and this year has witnessed more entries than ever before, according to Julie Christie, Head of Marketing at the Celtic Whiskey Shop, organisers of the event, which can only be good for the industry.

To be held on Thursday 18th October at the Slane Distillery in Co Meath, because the tickets are so limited only brands that entered, bars that were nominated and members that judged the whiskeys can attend outside of the 130 ticket-allocation.

Slane Distillery tours will commence from 4.45pm and the awards themselves will begin at 7.30pm and the guest speaker on the night will be Tullamore Dew’s John Quinn.

All proceeds from the evening go to Mary’s Meals who feed children every day whilst ensuring they attend school. For many it’s their only meal of the day and this year The Celtic Whiskey Shop announced that the Irish Whiskey Awards and Celtic Whiskey will join forces to sponsor the Kapatamoyo school in Zambia.

€10951.20 will be required yearly to feed the 702 pupils.
