November sales up

Sales volumes in bars were up 2.3% in November on the same month in 2015 while sales values were up 3.2% according to provisional figures from the CSO.

But these figures also indicate that compared to the preceding month, October, sales volumes in November fell 0.9% while values dropped 1.4%.

The CSO’s final figures for October show a rise in bar sales volumes of 3.7% compared to October 2015 and a growth of 4.6% in bar sales values. Compared to the pevious month, September, October’s bar sales volumes were up 0.2% while values were up 0.7%.

Across the three-month period September to November, the CSO’s provisional figures indicate a rise in bar sales volumes of 4.0% compared to the same period in 2015 accompanied by a rise in values of 4.9%.

Sales volumes were up 1.0% on the previous three-month period June to August 2016 while values grew 1.1%.
