LVA’s Garden Party (and then some)

The LVA’s Bicentennial Garden Party in the expansive gardens of its Angelsea House Headquarters was a hugely enjoyable bash.

The evening before “the hottest day of the year” was still pretty warm and sunny so everyone felt in outdoor party mood and the attendance of over 500 was kept well-fed and ‘watered’ well into the night.

It was also great to see Tom Moran attend the barbecue after his recent illness.

The party atmosphere remained right to the end of the affair (whenever that was). But it was clear from the outset that many publicans attending were going on to make a (late) night of it.

As one hopeful punter was overheard saying on being told mid-evening that the good weather was due to break with a rain shower around five the following morning, “Ah no, we’re all going to get soaked!”

The LVA’s Garden Party attendance of over 500 was kept well-fed and ‘watered’ well into the night.
