Large turnout for 20th Vievinum

The Austrian Wine Marketing Board together with over 500 producers took over Vienna’s Imperial Palace for specialist seminars to an international  press corps including Chinese reporters and six from Dublin.

Vievinum 2018, the Austrian international wine fair, was held in Vienna recently, reports John Brophy.

Willi Klinger, Managing Director of the Austrian Wine Marketing Board, explained that Austria accounts for less than 1% of world output and its production is nearing peak so it has to aim at added value.

The Austrian Wine Marketing Board together with over 500 producers took over Vienna’s Imperial Palace for specialist seminars to an international  press corps including Chinese reporters and six from Dublin. The biennial event was celebrating its 20th anniversary and some 15,000 visitors attended from nearly 50 countries.
