Outside Ireland, nominees include Scholars Lounge in Rome, McNulty’s in La Rochelle, Doc Magilligan’s in Niagara Falls, the Dead Rabbit in New York City and Seumus’ Irish Bar in Picton, New Zealand.

Last year’s overall title of ‘Pub of the Year’ went to Tir na nOg in New York City with Pub of the Year for Ireland awarded to Toners on Dublin’s Baggot Street.

“We were delighted to see so many votes coming in from all corners of the globe in support of the diaspora’s favourite Irish pubs,” commented Irish Hospitality Global’s Chief Executive Sarah Murphy on the release of this year’s shortlist, “It’s a testament to the long-standing Irish traditions of warmth and hospitality both at home in Ireland and across the world.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone to Dublin for the Awards ceremony in October.”

The winners of the 2019 Irish Hospitality Global Awards will be announced at a Gala Dinner in the Round Room at the Mansion House, Dublin, on 8th October as part of this year’s IHG ‘Gathering’ event. For ticket booking, see www.irishhospitalityglobalawards.com.
