Hospitality Expo expecting over 3,000

The upturn across the hospitality industry has been reflected in the number of suppliers now exhibiting at Ireland’s largest exhibition for the hospitality sector in 2016 – Hospitality Expo

Already over 200 suppliers have signed up for stand space at Hospitality Expowhich takes place at the RDS on the 3rd & 4th February next.

A two-day Hospitality Summit will cover Business Strategy, Digital Marketing, New Business Opportunities and Designing for The Customer Experience. Speakers include Dermot Crowley of Dalata Hotel Group, Grant Thornton and Crowe Howarth on business growth, capital values and finance while Ciara Lyons from the world’s top review website TripAdvisor will join forces with Yelp on Online Marketing. Pat O’Leary will advise on outdoor catering while Ciara Crossan of Wedding Dates will explain how to increase your share of the expanding wedding market.

The Food & Wine Pavilion in RDS Hall 3 is also heavily subscribed and includes a specially-designed Pro Chef’s Live Theatre sponsored by The Restaurant Association of Ireland where top chefs will share the secrets of their business success, demonstrating dishes that sell and produce margins.

The Tech Village is designed to help hoteliers and caterers make the most of the many advances in technology now essential to catering to an increasingly ‘online’ consumer including In-Remote Ordering And Reservation System, Room Control Systems, Stock Control, Social Media Promotion, Wi-Fi and Entertainment Systems, Payment Systems, HR Management and POS, Communications, Entertainment and Security Systems. Brew Expo features a selection of Irish craft brewers and distillers and will include a series of Beer Master Classes from Dean Mc Guinness of Premier International covering topics such as

The BAI Cocktail Competition will take place on the opening day Wednesday 3rd February sponsored by Edward Dillon.

The Stonehouse Trade Show will take place in the RDS Hall 2 on Wednesday 3rd Feb with over 40 leading brands represented. Separate registration is required via Stonehouse.

“We’re expecting over 3,000 trade visitors,” stated Sean Lemass, Managing Director of SDL Exhibitions Ltd, organisers of the event, “When last held we had a high proportion of decision-makers with 83% having purchasing authority and 78% actually placing an order. We’re confident of an increase in numbers and business given the improved economic performance.”

Hospitality Expo (formerly known as Vintra) has been running bi-annually for the past 30 years and also includes a wide range of bar and catering equipment suppliers, a hotel bridal suite feature (considerable growth is expected in the inbound same-sex wedding business in 2016) together with a business advice centre and tech theatre.
