Heineken Ireland launches Orchard Thieves cider

Heineken Ireland has announced the name of its mystery new cider due for release around now. It’s called Orchard Thieves.

According to the company Orchard Thieves has been designed specifically for Irish tastebuds and follows extensive taste-testing with over 1,000 consumers in Ireland.

Heineken Ireland researched cider products from around the world before settling on the New Zealand brand Orchard Thieves from one of Heineken nv’s subsidiary companies there, the Redwood Cider Company.

The product was then ‘tweaked’ into the Irish product on the back of consumer research here.

“We’ve used our 125 years of cider-making expertise to deliver a cider that we believe tastes exactly as a cider should taste,” said Heineken Ireland’s Marketing Director Sharon Walsh, “With a unique, pale, golden glow and refreshing apple taste, Orchard Thieves cider really cuts through and instantly refreshes. We’re confident that Orchard Thieves will steal the hearts of those seeking a brand that stands for straight-up instant refreshment

with a contemporary and bold edge.”

Orchard Thieves, brewed in Hereford, is available on draught, in pint bottles, 330ml bottles or cans in both the on- and off-trades.
