Independent off-licences can perk up with the news that a bottle of wine posted through the letterbox has become a distinct reality thanks to Garçon Wines which recently launched an innovative flattened wine bottle in partnership with Naked Wines in the UK.

Garçon Wines claims to have invented the first wine packaging solution for posting with the bottle capable of being posted through a letterbox.

The slim 75cl screwtop bottles – innovative, full-sized and eco-friendly.- have been flattened and lengthened to 32cm to fit through a letterbox.

In this case a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Carménère blend from one of Chile’s most iconic winemakers, can be delivered through the letterbox in a bespoke postal box.

“We can now offer our customers a new way to send gifts and introduce their friends to Naked with a bottle direct to their doormat,” said Naked Wines’ Chief Operating Officer Laura Rosenberger.
