Findlaters merges
The combined business will have an expected turnover of over €100 million and will operate from a state-of-the-art facility in Tallaght, County Dublin. It will manufacture and distribute premium products in coffee, wines and spirits, along with professional bakery and culinary ingredients to the Out-Of-Home channel (including the foodservice and hotel/restaurant/café segments).
“By bringing together these already successful businesses, we’re widening our footprint,” stated Findlater & Co’s newly-appointed Managing Director Oliver Sutherland, formerly Chief Commercial Officer at Valeo Foods Group and most recently Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer at the company. He joined Valeo from Nestlé Ireland where he was Managing Director.
Findlater & Co is now part of the Valeo Foods Group and employs 75 people at its headquarters in Tallaght.
The Findlater name boasts a rich heritage dating back to 1823 when Alexander Findlater established his first whiskey store in Dublin. His great-great-grandson Alex Findlater was chairman of the business until 2000.
