Dublin Port Wine Seizure

Revenue officers seized 360 litres of wine when they stopped and searched a van arriving into Dublin Port from France recently.

The van was searched based on routine profiling and the driver, a 41 year-old Irishman, was questioned.

The seized wine had a total retail value of around €5,200 representing an estimated potential loss to the Exchequer of €2,600.
