Doheny & Nesbitt’s profits down

Doheny & Nesbitt’s, the Paul & Tom Mangan-owned licensed icon on Baggot Street, turned in a tidy profit for the 12 months to the 31st January this year.

Parent company Swigmore Inns Ltd’s abridged accounts for the year show a €291,223 profit, down 34% from the previous year’s €441,925 figure, bringing accumulated profits up to €3.57 million from €3.28.

The pub employs 34 bar and lounge staff, up from 31 the previous year and staff costs (including the directors’ salaries) rose 7% to €986,978 from €895,750 the previous year.
