Coke’s Operating Profits up 56%

Operating Profits at Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottlers Company Ireland jumped 56% to €11.28 million from €7.2 million in the year ending 31st December 2016 despite a fall in turnover of nearly 3%, according to the latest set of financial results lodged with the Companies Office.

At €162.28 million, turnover at CCBCI fell 2.7% in 2016 from €167.01 million in 2015 (itself a 0.4% decrease the previous year).

Pre-tax profits were €11.3 million, up 58% on 2015’s €7.1 million figure.

Staff costs were reduced during 2016 from €20.1m to €19.4m, with staff numbers falling by six to 300. Staff numbers now comprise 21 in Production (down four), 50 in Admin (down from 58) and 228 in Sales & Marketing (up six).
