Chinnery launches Dublin Dry Gin

Chinnery Spirits unveiled Chinnery Dublin Dry Gin with Osmanthus Flower and Oolong Tea at a special launch event with a distinctly Asian flair in the Irish Architectural Archive on Dublin’s Merrion Square recently.

The venue echoed the classic Georgian façade of the Chinnery Gin label where guests were treated to bespoke CG cocktails created for the event and served in Chinese tea cups.  The selection of drinks, including Yum Cha, The Last Word and Chinnery Gimlet, all served as appropriate toasts to the artist George Chinnery whose life and travels to China inspired the gin and gave it its name.

At the launch Chinnery Spirits’ David Havelin and Marie Byrne offered guests the opportunity to master an ancient Chinese puzzle, the Tangram, created in a giant format to mark the occasion.  Sweet orange pearl-cured smoked salmon blinis, Cantonese duck pancakes with hoi sin and coriander-infused fillet steak were served alongside oolong tea cones with cheese and pepper mousse and Chinnery Gin-infused tiramisu bites.
