Carry Out crowns best stores

“We were delighted with the standards across the board this year,” said Jim Barry, Managing Director of the Barry Group, of this year’s awards. The Barry Group is Carry Out Off-Licence’s parent company.

“Carry Out continues to go from strength-to-strength and this is reflected in the standard of our award winners,” he continued, “They’re great standard-bearers for the franchise.”

He was speaking as the cream of the Carry Out crop was recognised at the off-licence group’s annual awards night at City West Hotel in Dublin recently.

In total eight stores were recognised for outstanding application across nine categories with Kevin O’Brien’s store in Tyrellstown taking home the overall Store of the Year award.

Now with over 100 stores nationwide, Carry Out is firmly-established as Ireland’s largest independent off-licence.

“Carry Out’s growth is a source of great pride for us at Barry Group and we’re excited about what the next 12 to 18 months will bring,” said Jim, adding that, “We’ve a number of exciting projects in the pipeline that will further strengthen the group.”
