2nd ‘Jägermeister Scholarship x Berlin Edition’ beckons

Following its successful international premiere last year, the ‘Jägermeister Scholarship × Berlin Edition’ will be continued in 2019.

Applications are now being invited to work for three months in one of the best bars in the German capital, to get to know the Berlin bar scene and to explore the metropolis, its people and the exciting city life in Berlin.

The unique ‘Jägermeister Scholarship × Berlin Edition’ is entering its second round and this year’s international scholarship will once again open the horizons of three young bartenders, giving them exclusive insights into the working world of a Berlin bar and immersing them in the vibrant bar scene of the city. The scholarship fellows reinforce their skills, gain professional and personal experience and get to know innovative concepts and the creative makers of bars in the metropolis.

Bartenders between the ages of 18 and 35 from the countries of Jägermeister’s bar network, the Hubertus Circle, can now apply for this exceptional experience where they will join the two other recipients on the adventure.

The closing date for entries is April 15th for the scholarship which will take place from August to October 2019.

The supporting program includes expert workshops on all aspects of bar culture, participation in special events such as the world famous ‘Bar Convent Berlin’ and a trip to Wolfenbüttel, home of the premium herbal liqueur Jägermeister.

During the scholarship, the three scholarship fellows will live together in a chic shared apartment. The costs for accommodation and travel will be covered; in addition, Jägermeister will assist them with any questions and challenges they may have about moving and living abroad. The three will share their impressions with blog posts, photos and videos on www.hubertuscircle.com and their Instagram.

The scholarship fellows of the first ‘Jägermeister Scholarship × Berlin Edition’, which took place in Summer/Autumn last year, Ella Lappalainen (Finland), Christopher Blas (US) and Jake Beaverstock (Ireland) are unanimously enthusiastic and warmly recommend applying for this unique experience.

“The three months have changed everything in our lives,” says Ella, who worked in the Berlin Booze Bar, “It was great to be able to grow together with the other two.”
