29th Jan sees largest trade tasting of Oz wine

The largest trade tasting of Australian wine in Ireland takes place on 29th January from 1pm to 6pm next year when Australia Day Tasting takes place at The Round Room in Dublin’s Mansion House.

This new bigger venue means there’ll be even more wines, producers and visitors than last year and Ireland’s wine trade and media will have an opportunity to meet the people behind the wines, hear their stories and taste a diverse range of Australian wines. The tasting features over 300 wines from 54 wineries and visitors can discover new varieties and styles, learn about recent trends and see what the future holds for Australian wine.

Some of the producers are familiar names like d’Arenberg and Vasse Felix, others will be new discoveries such as Pfeiffer Wines and Salena Estate seeking distribution. Ten producers at the event aren’t yet on the Irish market.

New to the 2018 event is a Focus Table on Iconic Australia. From fresh Hunter Valley Semillon to rich Rutherglen fortifieds, this area gives guests a snapshot of Australia’s most enduring and iconic wine styles.
